Meet Caven, otherwise known as CJ. Caven is self-motivated and has plans of graduating high school before he turns 18. Right now, CJ is interested in attending a trade school or possibly owning/operating his own landscape business. CJ’s mentor has spent a lot of time with him and describes CJ as intelligent, intuitive, well-spoken, and loving. CJ is healthy and physically active. He enjoys most sports, but basketball is his favorite. CJ prefers to be outdoors and would love the opportunity to camp, hang out by the lake, and go fishing. Like most teens, he also enjoys video games, watching movies, and going out to eat. CJ is not a picky eater and likes to try new foods. He would love to experience eating at a “fancy” restaurant. CJ is learning more independence. He states he is a “decent” cook, but he would like to learn how to make more complex meals. He would also like a family that can help him get his learner’s permit and a part time job. When CJ wants some down time, he likes to read or spend time in his room. His particularly likes scary/thriller type books. CJ does well with children of his own age and would likely benefit from a family that has other teenagers. CJ needs the support of a family to help him mature, build his skills, and launch into young adulthood.
